Khanh Hoa Medical Relief Mission 2007The medical mission was a pilot project that was organized by a group of students from different schools including Johns Hopkins University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine, Drexel University School of Medicine, and University of Maryland. The primary goal of this mission is to provide health care and medicine to the poor, and to enhance the medical education and cultural experience for the students and volunteers on the team. In addition to this goal, we also planned to perform a general health survey to understand the health problems in this area. The mission was from June 18 to June 30 and the destination was Dien Khanh hospital in Khanh Hoa. The team consisted of 11 people, which included 2 physicians, 6 medical students, and 3 volunteers.
