Statement:

I am most privileged to have witnessed and assisted the wonderful efforts by members of the Viet Nam Medical Assistance Program (VNMAP) in implementing their noble missions and goals. Moreover, I am in awe of their dedication, compassion, energy, enthusiasm, and caring spirit – as evidenced by my personal experiences with this organization in the past two years. I share their genuine desire to bring good health through educational programs, outreach activities, and humanitarian medical missions to communities in Viet Nam and in this country. I believe these activities provide excellent opportunities for medical, dental, nursing and pharmacy students to actively engage in community-based healthcare delivery, and to inspire also uncommitted college students to explore professions in the medical field.

If selected, I am committed to continue serving the interests of VNMAP, and, along with other Board members, to lead and shape its broadening goals in the future. I would like to see VNMAP evolve into a focused and effective organization to serve the greater cause of humanity.
